Birds can stand on any of the metal feeding stations and eat undisturbed. But when a squirrel standing on the base or roof tries to eat from the SquirrelScatter feeder, it will be surprised and repelled by a brief electrical pulse. Squirrels learn to leave the feeder alone - and birds can enjoy the food you provide them.

Setting up the SquirrelScatter is easy. Just install two “D” cell batteries, add your favourite birdseed, hang the device from a branch or pole (out of the easy reach of squirrels and other pests), and switch it on. When it’s time to refill the SquirrelScatter, switch off the device, add more seed through the hatch in the top, and then switch it back on again. The SquirrelScatter will operate for up to three months on a single set of batteries.
