This Petsafe Premium Ultrasonic Bark Control Device is great for indoor or outdoor used on your own dogs, a kennel environment or even your neighbor's dog. It's automatic. It is activated when the internal microphone picks up the constant barking sound from the dog. Then, it sets off a two-second ultrasonic sound that startles the dog so it stops barking. When the dog stops barking, the unit stops and resets, ready for the next series of barks. Can be used indoors or outdoors.

Features:
* Emits ultrasonic sound that only your dog can hear.
   * Correction level or volume is around 120 dB at one foot from the transmitter
* 25 foot range - Most effective when unit is placed 10 feet or less from the barking dog.
   * No Receiver Collar needed
* Operates off of a 9-volt battery - which will last
          6 month or 2,000 activations. (battery not included)
* Has A Manual Correction button - allows you to correct
          bad behavior at a push of a button.

We have four dogs, and were on the verge of considering having them debarked. No amount of training or intervention worked. One dog would start barking, and the rest would join in. The microphone doesnt pick up the barks that well but when you manually activate it the offending dog takes notice and stops barking. I tried it outside and I think the dog was just outside the range of the device.

I am a holistic Veterinary Technician. i absolutely love this product. my neighbor has four little yippers and my shepard/chow mix was antogonized by the yipping on our side of the fence.
