I have enjoyed the way this product works, except for when there is an occasional clump that is just too heavy and then I have to scoop it myself. I definitely suggest that you just empty the plastic container into the garbage instead of throwing away all that plastic each time it's full...love our.. [READ ENTIRE REVIEW]

I have 5 cats. Once I had 5 litter boxes to scoop twice a day. My life has been transformed by a Litter Maid Mega automatic litter box. All five cats use the same box now. I've had mine for three years with two cats, and it still works just fine. I probably take it out and give it a thorough cleaning once a year. I do wish the waste receptacles were larger.
